The ExSpiron is a respiratory monitor developed by Respiratory Motion and recently sold to Senzime.
The system measures tidal volume, respiratory rate and minute ventilation. By using a "PadSet sensor" the ExSpiron measures bioelectric impedance and translates the data in real time to provide the values above. ExSpiron also stores the trends to be seen and analyzed afterwards.
With the data produced by the ExSpiron it is possible to generate the relevant information regarding a patients status
The user friendly, accurate and the non-invasive ExSpiron makes it extremely effective in preventing respiratory deterioration. Therefore it is mostly found in Intensive Care Units and Post Operation wards , where respiratory depression is a common concern.
